History
1972 W.H.M. (Fred) von Hoff registered H.E.Technical Services as Sole Trader,
activities: supply, install hospital equipment, mainly operating theatre equipment
1983 Manfred von Hoff, (son of Fred) joined H.E.T. after graduating from Caulfield Inst. Of Technology.
1993 H.E.Technical Services Pty.Ltd. was incorporated.
Also purchased Fact. No. 7, 8-10 Concord Crs.
Commenced design and manufacture SURGILITE examination lights.
1999 Peter Alexander joined the company.
2002 & 2003 purchased adjacent premises, fact. 8 and 6

H. E. Technical Services was founded in 1972 by Fred von Hoff and is still totally family owned and independently Australian. The company founder, Fred von Hoff is still activly engaged within the business.
In the 35 years of company history, the company has changed somewhat from being a commission based sales company to a service provider, manufacturer of Examination Lights with agencies for Medical and Surgical Lighting equipment.
Early on Fred von Hoff sold all manner of medical equipment and associated items required to start and run a hospital, he also provided a number services with regards to consultancy work, some of these included equipment selection, quantity surveying and technical support for major capital equipment.
In the earlier years, Fred von Hoff assisted with the procurement and setting-up of smaller hospitals,
e.g. Warringal Private Hospital, Vic.; Bundoora Pvt. Hosp., Vic. Now North Park Pvt. Hosp.; Peninsula Pvt. Hosp. Vic.; TheAvenue Hosp.; Masada Hosp.; etc.
Also supply , install and provide after-sales service of operating theatre lights at The Alfred Hospital, Vic.; Epworth Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Footscray (now Western) Hospital,
Royal Hobart Hospital, Royal North Shore Hosp., NSW, Repat. Hosp., Vic.; Concord Hosp. NSW; etc.
