Camera Systems, Monitors and Brackets
In 1997 Dr Mach began manufacturing Camera Systems which can be incorporated into their Operating Lights (‘New Generation’ & ‘M” series). These Camera Systems are fully featured and are located in the middle of the lamp housing so that the Camera is always pointed at the same position as the light.
Camera Features Include:
- Auto/Manual Iris – Automatically adjusts brightness of picture with regards to amount of reflected light off instruments. Or manually for zoomed in view of deep cavities.
- Auto/Manual Focus – Automatically adjusts focus of picture when light is repositioned or manually adjusted so that camera does not automatically adjust focus for the back of a surgeons head, intermittently…
- Color Adjustment – Used to adjust picture perceived color imbalance in operating field.
- Picture Freeze – For creating stills of images for printing.
- Picture Rotation – Used to rotate the picture viewpoint remotely so that the light head does not have to be rotated by the surgeon.
- 72x Zoom – Basically allows you to zoom in and show an area the size of a watch face full screen on a monitor.
- On-Screen Display – Allows you to see what camera features are currently being used and at what point manual adjustment of a feature is within its range of adjustment.
- Composite Video Output – Normal video quality output.
- Y/C (S-Video) – High video quality output.
Uses for Cameras in Operating Lights;
- Training and Teaching Purposes – the video signal can be interfaced with a wide range of equipment and/or transmitted to lecture/teaching rooms.
- Documentation of procedures.
- Allowing surgical support staff to view an operation, allowing them to better preempt the surgeons needs.
